Vincent E. Dasent, age 85 of Miami, Florida suffered a heart failure on January 2, 2023. He was surrounded by his family at the time of death.

Vincent, otherwise known as Vinnie, was born to Vincent Oscar and Mary Cassandra Dasent on 11/24/1937 in Trinidad and Tobago. He immigrated to the United States in 1966. He initially lived in New York where he met his wife Gloria Mike and eventually moved to Florida with their three children. Vincent worked for Bell South and AT &T for 30 years as a telephone splicer. He was an active member of the Church of the Ascension Episcopal Church for several years. He loved singing in the choir, acting in church plays and was an active vestry member. Lastly, he was an avid soccer and football fan but also thoroughly enjoyed landscaping in his beloved gardens.

Vincent is survived by his wife Gloria Dasent, and his three children, Alana, Marlon and Cherisse and daughter in law Kendra Dasent; siblings, Jean, Inskip, Winston, Kenneth, Enrique; nephews Ronald, John, Handel, Inskip B., Andre; niece Michelle and sister- in- law Rose. He is also survived by his grandchildren Skye, Kiara, Shaye, Kristian, Lawrence, Anaiya and Aliyah.

Vincent was a dedicated husband and father who enjoyed making people laugh with his quick witty sense of humor and superb talent for storytelling.

Vincent’s family will host a funeral ceremony and celebration of life at the Church of the Ascension on Saturday January 14th at 9:30 a.m.
