Vincent's obituary
Our beloved father, brother, and friend, Vincent Collins-Smith, age 67, passed away peacefully in Ukiah CA on October 21, 2019. Vincent was born and raised in Roxbury and Rockland, MA. After graduating from Rockland High School in 1970 Vincent moved to New York City to study acting. In 1975 Vincent headed west to California and made his homes in San Francisco, Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park, and Ukiah.
Vincent had many talents. He was an accomplished chef for many years and always enjoyed cooking and eating with friends. He was a passionate teacher of fencing. Up until the spring of 2019, he was an active member of the Golden Gate Fencing School in San Francisco. A prolific writer Vincent wrote two screenplays, Stoned Ranger and Venice Fish.
After retiring Vincent spent many months traveling throughout Europe spending time in England, Venice Italy, Malaga Spain, and Lisbon Portugal. As usual, he made many friends along the way.
He will be remembered as a smart, articulate, funny, thoughtful and loving father and friend. He was a good man who deeply loved his children, family and friends.
Always and very probably still, He was ready to talk about anything and everything with a smile.
Vincent is survived by his children, Cedar Scroggins, his two grand-daughters Sophia and Olive Scroggins, his son Aidan Collins-Smith, and his step-daughter Althea Boxley. Also his mother Delores Cormican, his eight brothers and sisters: Shelia, Walter, Russell, Jeannine, Stirling, Bruce, Brooke and Meagan and his very close friends Deborah McGeary, Eileen McCann-Kingston & Neil Kingston.
In his memory, get out and make a new friend.
It’s what he would do.
