RIP Uncle Vin! In our hearts …
2019, Danielle’s house
RIP Uncle Vin! In our hearts forever!! Say hi to my parents for me.
I’ll always remember the fun and conversations enjoyed when sisters Pat, Fran, Paulette and I flew the skies westward to get to Vinnie’s bachelor pad in Arizona.
When we arrived, we were greeted with hugs from Vinnie and a whole lot of tail wagging from Vinnie’s buddy, Pugsley.
Vinnie went out of his way to prepare for us. He was the best host, ever! He made sure the beds were made and the pillows plumped...the bathrooms scrubbed and the pantry perfectly stocked with everything in size order with labels facing front. It was the neatest pantry I ever saw. He got teased by those of us whose pantries were more of a scavenger hunt than a place to store groceries.
During our visit, we also got to visit his son, Jason and his lovely wife, Shanna. Their union raised Vinnie’s status to Proud Grandpa of a beautiful, growing family.
Vinnie will remain in our memories as long as we live. The hard times he dealt with are over. He is at peace.
I loved my Cousin Vinnie.
In response to "What did Vincent love to do?"
"We can shed tears because he is gone, or we can smile because he lived. ..
We can cry and close our minds with regrets...Or, we can do what he would want us to do...open our hearts to love and go on..."
