Vicki's obituary
Victoria Louisa Gedosch Robison, lovingly known to many as “Vicki” and affectionately nicknamed “Thread” in her youth, passed away peacefully in her home on August 13, 2025, in Houston, TX, at the age of 61.
Vicki was born on April 27, 1964, in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was the oldest child of Stephen John Gedosch Sr and the late Kae Wagner Gedosch. Throughout her youth, her family moved all over the country before settling in Houston, Texas, when she was 15.
Her love for musical theatre blossomed during her high school years when she joined the costume crew, earning her cherished nickname. Her passion soon led her from behind the scenes to the stage itself. In her senior year, she was offered a scholarship to Alvin Community College, later transferring to the University of Houston–Clear Lake, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance with a minor in Accounting.
After college, Vicki worked professionally as an actor and stagehand for several years, touring nationally with several productions—including her favorite, Evita. Eventually, she shifted gears to pursue a career in accounting, bringing her signature creativity and discipline to the field.
In 1994, Vicki fell in love with Danny Robison after meeting at the party of a mutual friend. They married on June 29, 1996, in South Carolina. Their journey took them from Houston, Texas, to South Carolina to Plano, Texas, and then to San Antonio, where they began building a family. On April 10, 2002, they welcomed their daughter into the world—a moment that marked the beginning of her greatest role: being a mother.
After she and Danny separated in 2012, Vicki returned to Houston with her daughter to be close to old friends and re-engage with her first love—musical theatre. This new chapter allowed her to share her passion for the arts with her daughter, creating memories and performances that brought them even closer together.
In addition to her father, Vicki is survived by her daughter, Kaelyn Robison of Houston, TX; her stepmother, Vickie Gedosch of Pelzer, SC; her sisters, Grace Castle and Gloria Gedosch, both of Pelzer, SC; and her brother, David Gedosch, also of Pelzer, SC.
In addition to her beloved mother, she is preceded in death by her brother, Stephen Gedosch Jr.
She will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, sense of humor, and unwavering devotion to family, friends, and the performing arts.
