Victor's obituary

With immense gratitude to God for a life well-lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Pa Victor Olusegun Adejuwon on October 7, 2024, at the age of 83 in Lagos, Nigeria. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, he leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and wisdom that will forever be cherished.

Born on August 7, 1941, in Ado Ekiti, Ondo State, Pa Adejuwon embraced the values of faith, family, and community. He attended Christ School Ado Ekiti and earned a degree in Agriculture from the University of Ife. In Akure, he met his beloved wife, late Olajumoke Olabisi Adejuwon, and together, they built a life of love, raising four amazing children and eventually settling in Ibadan, Oyo State, where he continued to be a guiding presence for his family.

Pa Adejuwon was a respected Agronomist who contributed significantly to Nigeria's agricultural sector, serving with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture in Ondo State and Dizengoff W.A. Nigeria Ltd. Later, he pursued entrepreneurship, finding joy in both his work and time spent with his family. Known for his generous spirit, he mentored many young people, guided them through their studies, and sponsored several children’s education. His contributions to his church and community left a lasting impact, particularly through his leadership roles and support for educational initiatives.

Survived by his children, grandchildren, brothers, and sisters, Pa Adejuwon’s gentle nature, quiet strength, and wisdom were evident to all who knew him. He was a loving husband, always cherishing moments with his wife unapologetically, and maintaining a truly welcoming home. His calmness and remarkable sense of humor brought light to every room, and so his presence will be deeply missed.

As we say goodbye to a devoted Patriarch who gave so much to the world, we remember his guiding belief: "Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds that you plant" – Robert Louis Stevenson. Pa Adejuwon lived by these words, sowing seeds of kindness, peace, compassion, and hope throughout his life. He was a perfect gentleman, perceptive and wise, whose presence will be deeply missed but whose legacy will live on in the many lives he touched.

May the gentle soul of our dear beloved Pa Victor Olusegun Adejuwon continue to rest peacefully.
