So sorry to hear this.   Rest in peace, Vicki.   May you all have peace.
Vicki was one of my very first friends. We would spend many hours outside learning how to do gymnastics and riding bikes.  She always let me braid her hair learning how to do different styles. As teenagers, we spent many hours cruising up and down Main Street and visiting with friends. She was a great friend.  I had the privilege of being there when she got married and when she had her beautiful baby girl.  She was always a person who believed in God and I know she is now in the arms of Jesus 🙏❤️

Big sister Vicki, defender of flying monsters, as told by little sister Dixie:
When we were young children, I shared a big bedroom in the basement with Vicki. During summer months, miller moths would sometimes slip their way into the house and make their way downstairs to flit around the lights in our room. I was very afraid of those little flying monsters and wanted them gone. Vicki would not stand for any harm to come to them. I remember Vicki and I pooling all our change and paying our little brother .25 cents per moth for him to quickly and safely relocate them unharmed back outside. He made a lot of spending money during the summers!

Late 1960s.  Early childhood memory as told by big sister, Stasia.  Vicki was born 1 year and 3 months after me so she's my younger sis.  When we were really young children, like 3 and 4 years old, I used to walk around holding Vicki's hand, and I would tell everyone what Vicki wanted.  Vicki would whisper in my ear and then I'd tell whomever what she said.    One day, when I was telling Mom something on Vicki's behalf, she said - "honey, let Vicki speak for herself.  She'll never learn to talk if you are always talking for her."  Well, I'm not sure those were her exact words.  Anyway I never forgot that.  And while Vicki was always a lot more "shy" than her two sisters, she never hesitated to tell us what's what - she had her own mind, her own opinions.  She was definitely her own person (not saying she was stubborn, but ....)  Sometimes I can still feel her little hand in mine.

Vicki as the Funny Sister, as told by Big Sis, Stasia.  One of the things that I loved so much about my little sister, Vicki, is her beautiful smile and her unassuming nature -- which hid her wicked sense of humor.  Even in her last days in the hospital bed, she was able to sneak in little comments that broke me up.  She would say something to the nurse, who would look confused for a second until she got that Vicki was joking.  The nurse declared Vicki was the "funny" one of the 3 sisters.  I regret not being able to spend more time with her.  It always seemed that work and distance kept us apart, but in the end, the thing that really matters is letting someone know that you love them with all your heart.
