Vicki Lynn Turner, 66 of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021. She was born on June 16, 1955 in Muncie, IN to Robert and Olive (Kiser) Whetsel.

Vicki spent 28 years as a bank branch manager, retiring in 2018 at Fifth Third bank. In her years of banking, she earned many awards in excellence. She graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a bachelor’s in management.

Vicki lived life to the fullest and was always up for an adventure. She loved traveling anywhere with sun, water, and sand in her toes. Her favorite way to travel was by cruise. After 22 cruises all over the world, she was a Diamond member with Royal Caribbean. If she wasn’t cruising, she liked to Kick the Dust Up at Luke Bryan concerts and even won a contest to meet him. In her words, it was “the Ultimate”! An avid Indy Car race fan, Vicki attended 43 Indianapolis 500 races and met almost every race car driver. Her favorite was AJ Foyt and she looked forward to one day seeing her grandson be one. In her free time, she loved going to lunch and shopping with her daughter. Vicki valued spending time with her grandsons. She planned sleepovers with them and loved cheering them on in sports.

Vicki left us too soon and she will be missed by so many. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Whetsel. She is survived by her Husband of forty-three years, Randall (Randy); mother, Olive; brother, Robert; daughter, Alicia (Turner) Purdy; son-in-law, Jason Purdy; Grandsons: Jackson, Oliver, Sawyer, and Huck-Finn.

A Celebration of Life is from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Midwest Funeral Home located at 1415 West Coliseum Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46808. Visitation on Tuesday, December 7 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and Wednesday, December 8 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Burial will take place following the Celebration of Life in Concordia Cemetery at 5300 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46802.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to her grandsons’ college fund
