Vicki's obituary
We are saddened to announce the passing of Vicki Purdy, born on February 23, 1959, to the late Paul and Carolyn Rebman. She left us on June 30, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and an unmatched capacity for love. Vicki shall forever be remembered by her vibrant personality, well described as optimistic, empathetic, caring, loving, loyal, funny, and authentic.
She is survived by her son Joshua Purdy(Jimmie Poole), daughter Mindi Purdy-Armas, and Son Jason Purdy(Jennifer Purdy), who were a testament of her unending love and spirit. Vicki took pride and joy in her grandchildren Dylan Purdy(Lauren Wagner), Faith Purdy-Armas(Timothy Patterson), Juliana Purdy-Armas(Cody Bessel), Ava Purdy-Armas, Morgan Cherry(Josh Cherry),Austin Purdy, Cole Purdy, Emma Purdy, and Rozalyn Chesmore. As well as her great-grandchildren Malachi Behne, Jocelyn Purdy, Aziah Patterson, Duane Purdy II, Lianalei Patterson, Ivy Cherry, Harper Cherry, and Lea’Anna Purdy.
She was predeceased by her beloved great-granddaughter Mariah Purdy, her nephew Timothy Rebman, and her cherished husband Duane Purdy.
Beyond her immediate family, Vicki is remembered by her siblings Joe Rebman(Peggy Tonjum), Linda Kumlien(Jack Kumlien), Andy Rebman(Kathy Rebman), and James Rebman(Kelli Rebman). Her family was her world, and she devoted her time and energy in making each moment count.
Vicki was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and enjoyed playing games like Yahtzee and Uno. She relished in her favorite dishes, spaghetti, shrimp, and meatloaf, and savored her favorite drink, Sundrop. Vicki had her joys in little things, enjoying TV shows like The Kardashians, Ellen DeGeneres, I Love Lucy, The Golden Girls. Vicki had a strong liking for the color red and loved spending time at River Side Park and Rotary Gardens.
Vicki was best known for her indulgence in music, with favorites like 'Sweet Home Alabama', 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough', and 'Benni and the Jets'. Above all, her favorite recreational activities included spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and family, creating lasting memories.
Vicki’s life lesson was a simple yet powerful one, 'Love those who love you.' True to her words, she has touched and warmed many hearts with her optimism, empathy, and generous spirit. Vicki will be deeply missed by all who had the opportunity to meet her. Her legacy of kindness and generosity will continue to inspire us all.
