Vicente's obituary
He was born in San Jose, Antique, Philippines on April 5, 1946 to Clarita and Francisco Encarnacion. He was the youngest of five siblings and lived the longest out of all his brothers and sisters.
In his younger years, Vic loved to dance and performed with a traditional filipino dance troupe. He began his professional career with Philippine Airlines as a reservations clerk before working as a civilian for the U.S. Government as a Budget Analyst in Oakland, CA, then at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA. He retired early in 2006.
Vic married in 1993 to his wife, Delia, and celebrated 27 years together until his passing. Together they had a son and only child, Vincent Paul, born March 1, 1994.
Vic found joy in propagating houseplants and caring for the calamansi tree in the family’s garden. Since having smart TV’s installed throughout the house, he also enjoyed watching gardening & cooking videos on youtube as well as streaming Netflix series. In addition to being a loving husband and father, Vic cared for several family dogs, including the most recent adoption, Rico, who he would take out on daily walks twice a day. His absolute favorite food items to order were sizzling rice soup, shrimp chow fun, and BBQ pork baked buns. Despite being constantly warned by his wife and son not to eat too many sweets, Vic always kept a secret stash of chocolates or cookies nearby.
He is survived by his wife, Delia, only son, Vincent, and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.
