I did a search for VG today because I wanted to know how he was doing . I worked with him at Polk County Engineering when he was our Traffic Engineer. He was a remarkable man and his obituary was spot on. My sympathies to all who knew and loved him: we lost a bright star! 

He was a true hero to me. Your family always showed me love. And Tut never minded me in his holes. VG was the light in my dark childhood. I have very fond memories of you all. Really the only good memories of living on Hebron. My heart goes out to your family. For you are ever in my heart.❤️I think about you all often. I’m sure he is playing nine holes with Christ and his family. While Tut follows him chasing the golf balls and Jodie (I think that was the Dobermans name) watches in embarrassment. Good times. M.C. You all mean and meant so much to me.
