Veronica's obituary
With profound sadness, we announce the departure of our beloved Veronica "Vee" McIntire who passed away on March 27, 2025. She was born on August 14, 1970, and throughout her life, she touched many hearts with her loving, caring, enthusiastic, and unselfish personality. Veronica, who preferred her nickname
over her full name, was a woman of immense warmth and compassion.
Her greatest accomplishments lay in the hearts and lives of her children and grandchildren. Veronica left behind a rich tapestry of memories as a caring mother, sister, grandmother, and dynamic individual. She is survived by her daughters Makayla and Skylee McIntire, Teah McIntire; her brothers William and Jason Penn; her grandchildren Serenity, Payton and Aurora McIntire, Kenneth Millard Jr, Ophelia Hood, and Kalon Wells. She is also survived by her life partner Shane Beavers and ex-husband, Michael McIntire. Veronica was predeceased by her parents Patricia and Alvin "Buddy" Penn, and her son, Michael McIntire.
Veronica had a zest for life and a love for the simple pleasures. She held a special fondness for slushies, which were her favorite drinks. Gardening was her chosen form of recreation, where she found solace and joy. The lessons Veronica shared about caring for others, resonate among her family members and will continue to influence and inspire them.
A Celebration of Life for Veronica will take place on July 20, 2025 at 12:00 PM at 970 Rte 291, offering an opportunity for loved ones to reminisce, grieve, and support each other. Following this, Veronica will be laid to rest in a Burial Ceremony at Mount Zion Cemetery at 2:00 PM on the same day.
Veronica's legacy is one of compassion. She believed that her children were her greatest accomplishments and her life echoed this belief. Veronica McIntire will be deeply missed and her light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew her. The world has indeed lost a great person.
