Veronica's obituary
Veronica Jane Bowler, of League City, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024 in Webster, Texas at the age of 59.
She was born on September 7, 1964 in Portsmouth, United Kingdom to Sydney and Eva Lough.
Veronica is the oldest child of Sydney and Eva born in Portsmouth United Kingdom. She always shared fond memories of the love that her parents provided her and her siblings, recollecting the special times they shared especially at Christmas.
She was both a British and American citizen and had immigrated with her family to Texas in 2001, she loved her British heritage and her life in Texas. One of Veronica’s dreams was to become a therapist so she could dedicate her time to help those that were less fortunate. Whilst living in Texas she acquired both a Bachelor’s and Masters in Social Work and became a licensed clinical social worker. As a mental health therapist she touched the lives of countless others to improve their lives and well being.
She was a devoted mother of Samuel and Daisy and grandmother of Samuel and Ophelia. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family. Veronica was immensely loved by everyone that knew her. She was known for her wisdom, compassion and her passion for helping others to improve their lives.
Veronica’s spare time was dedicated to building beautiful everlasting memories with her family that drove her hobbies of building a beautiful home, gardening and celebrating their life events; family birthdays, weddings, holidays and Christmas. Her love extended to dogs, cats and tortoises; she rescued from local shelters Elvis, Ollie, Buddy, Bella, Meg, Tinkerbell, Trixie (who was a stray), and Alfie and gave them all a forever home.
She will be eternally missed by her family and friends, and our loss is immeasurable.
Veronica is survived by her husband of 23 years Darryl Bowler; her son and daughter and spouses, Samuel Bowler and Darci Bowler, Daisy Bowler and Bailey Rhodes; her sister and brother, Vanessa Lough and Martin Lough; her grandchildren Samuel Bowler and Ophelia Bowler.
