65th surprise party

I was watching the Rangers today and saw something that made me think of Vernon, so I looked him up and was very sorry to find that he had passed. I played softball with him and Shannon both city league and in tournament ball for many many years ! He was a jokester for sure. My condolences to his family.

Vernon was best man at our wedding in 1972. My husband met him at Mobil Chemical in Temple, Texas. We had lost touch through the years. I was trying to find him to tell Mike had passed. I was surprised to see VR beat him. My condolences to the family. He was a true character.
I am not sure if this was Mr Rowe who helped me rework old VW bug’s in the 70’s it looks like him, if it was I have some funny stories. So Sorry for the loss to your family and his community.
I know Vernon will be missed by all who had the joy to know him. Lots of great memories growing up with him coaching peewee football. He always had a way to make us laugh and continue to strive to be better. Many prayers for all the family and loved ones.
