Vernon's obituary
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Beverly Lunsford Carver of Georgetown, KY; son Brent and his wife Melissa Wheeler Carver of Frankfort, Kentucky; grandson Logan Carver of Lexington, KY; son Tony and his wife Cathy Carver, step-granddaughter Jessica (Nick) Sanchez, all of Forney, TX; niece Alisha D. Chaffin of Stamford, CT; sister Brenda Carver and brother Roger Carver, both of Huntington, WV; and brother in-law Del and his wife Barbara Lunsford of Casa Grande, AZ.
He spent his adult life with his wife Beverly in Flatwoods and Ashland, KY. Tom retired from GTE/Verizon after a 30+ year career. After his retirement, Tom enjoyed camping with Beverly and grandson Logan. He was known as the man that could build, fix and/or install “anything.” He enjoyed woodworking and making practical items such as bookcases and decorative boxes for his wife, Beverly.
He was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey Allen Carver of Texas, parents Opal and Vernon Carver, sister Linda Carver, and in-laws Walter and Irene Lunsford all of Huntington, WV.
Donations can be made in Tom’s honor to Ashland Animal Rescue Fund, 12365 Kevin Ave, Ashland, KY 41102.
