Venita Nell Egler

November 27,1943-November 25,2024

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Venita, who peacefully left us on November 25,2024 at the age of 80. She was surrounded by family, the people who meant the most to her, in her final moments.

Born on November 27,1943, in Decatur Texas, Venita was the daughter of Otho and Thelma Lisby. Venita Graduated from Diamond Hill. Following High School, she went on to work in insurance for several years before finding her home at Fort Worth City Credit Union where she would retire in 2008 after 28 years.

Venita was a loving mother, wife, GiGi, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Known for her kind heart, unwavering strength, and unselfish generosity. Her nurturing nature extended far beyond her immediate family. Venita was a friend to many, and her home was always open to those in need. She had a unique way of making everyone feel welcome, and her kindness was evident in everything she did. From hosting countless keno nights to being the first to remember a birthday or anniversary, she never missed a chance to make everyone in her life feel loved and appreciated. Her ability to bring out the best in others made her not just a family member but a guiding presence in the lives of those around her.

Venita was predeceased by her mother and father, Otho and Thelma Lisby, her first husband Billy Powell and second, Robert Egler and her siblings Joan, Rumell, Martha, Bobby Neal, Gwen, Ben and Gerry.
