I met Venita in 1978 I was 17 years old, worked with her for almost 20 years . She pretty much raised me, seen me thru my wedding day to the birth of all my children, and met my grandchildren vicariously through Facebook post. She was so wise good or bad she would advise you on everything, I spent my last 8 years in the loan dept with her as my boss, she would call me into her office, and tell me to close the door behind me . And I thought I was in big trouble. But she would say I have a migraine and I need you to massage my neck .☺️ . She was the best, take us to fancy restaurants and Treat us all like we were family . Buy us nice gifts for Christmas and all out of her personal pocket . When she retired me and Tina would try to locate her to visit her. But we could not find her 2 years ago we saw a post where she requested books for nursing home library boom 💥 we found her
Visited her 3 more times took her books and shelf then she moved again and we lost touch .
Thank you Sue Dodgens for contacting me
She has a big place on my ❤️

I met Venita at work years ago. She was a young married working mother. She invited my husband and I to visit her church and afterwards she’d prepared a wonderful meal. My young husband was sick and dying and she was praying with me for his recovery. I’ll never forget that act of kindness she shared. So very sad to hear of her passing and I pray God’s comfort and peace for her family as they navigate life without her.

A beautiful lady and friend. While she will be missed, she is healed in the arms of Jesus and is celebrating with loved ones today.

I'm sorry to hear about Venita's passing. Prayers for all her family. I am the last of the Lisby sisters' (Hazel) children.
