Venica's obituary

Venica Dickey Hill, age 90, of Wake Forest, North Carolina, went to be with her Lord on April 19, 2026. She was born on April 21, 1935, in Meade, Kansas, to the late Lloyd and Helen Dickey. She dedicated over 40 years to Kay & Sons Woodworks as the Vice President and Bookkeeper.

Venica was, first and foremost, devoted to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was blessed with a long life, and she spent her adult years at Neuse Baptist Church teaching Sunday School, leading a puppet ministry, and singing in the choir. Her quick wit, dedication to those she loved, and her famous rum cakes will be remembered by many!

Venica is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Kay; her sons, Clay (Penny) and Kay (Michelle); four grandchildren, Scott (Michelle), Amanda (Cole), Heather (Drew), and Bradley; and three great-grandchildren, Lucas, Colin, and Grayson.

A celebration of life will be held at Neuse Baptist Church on April 22, 2026, at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Neuse Baptist Church Missions in Venica’s memory.
