I was returning to my line dance class after having surgery. I had been out for a few months, there fore I forgot some of the dance steps. Vashti always danced on my left side. She came to me and said I got you. If you miss step or forget a step just look at me. She kept me going. She helped me get back to dancing. I truly appreciated all her help from keeping anyone from seeing how much I had forgotten. Thank you vashti for always being there by my side. You are truly an original BARTOW SWINGER. Also one of the best dancers in the Bartow Swingers.
I was shocked and hurt when I heard the news of Vashti's passing. May she continue to Sleep in Eternal Peace. Gone but never forgotten, always in my heart 💜🙏🏽😢
It was my great pleasure to know Vasthi by way of Bartow Swingers line dance class, Black History plays produced by myself and Dazee's Drama Bunch. Vasthi was a kind, gentle peaceful soul. She will be missed by the entire Co-op city community. May she rest in the arms of our Lord, our Savior and God. Sleep on my friend. Prayers for her family are being offered up. May God keep you forever in his care.
It was a blessing to know Vashti and have her as a member of our Monday & Thursday morning "Walk The Talk & Thankful Thursday Walking Team 🚶♀️🚶♀️🚶♀️". She said I will be there except... if it is cold.😅 LOL
It was also wonderful that she never shied away from offering her thoughts or knowledge during the Staywell Bartow Older Adult Center discussions on a variety of topics.
