Vanessa Castillo of Coral Gables, Florida passed away on Sunday August 31st at Doctors Hospital in Coral Gables. She is survived by her fiancé Thomas, mother Lucy, grandmother, two older sisters, her niece and nephew.

Vanessa was a lifelong resident of Florida, she was of Cuban descent and bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish. She loved with her whole heart and soul; she was fiercely loyal, supportive and dedicated to her friends. She built an online community on Twitter and discord, where she made a safe space that people could go and watch movies or play video games together and just talk about life. Vanessa loved cats, showers, the color turquoise, tacos, the tv show Friends, and Arnold Schwarzenegger movies.

Vanessa will be remembered for her sweetness, her witty sense of humor, her infectious laughter, her impeccable beauty, and most importantly, the unconditional love she showed every human being and animal she met. Her kind and energetic spirit made everyone who came into contact with her instantly feel connected to her. Vanessa’s presence was a gift to the world and will be sorely missed.

Vanessa’s final resting place is at Vista Memorial Gardens in Miami Lakes, Florida.
