Van's obituary

On March 9, Van (Ducky) Bradley passed away at the age of 76 at home with his family. Van was born on November 29, 1946, in Connecticut and spent his last 25 years in Florida. He served in Vietnam in the Navy and then married Ruth Nichols, his wife of 42 years. He had various businesses and management positions. Van retired as general manager of Lake Como Resort in Lutz, Florida.

Van loved golfing with his friends at The Grove Golf and Country Club and Timber Pines, playing most card games, and cooking for his family most of his life. His quick smile and laughter caught your attention and was contagious.

He is survived by his children: Christine Walker, her husband Jamie, and daughter Abigail and son Jamie of Florida; Tom Bradley of Virginia and his sons Thomas and Tyler; Debbie Vick of Ohio and her son Lee Phillips and his 4 daughters Taylor, Amelia, Allison, and Caroline; and grandson Dustin Lawson. Van was predeceased by his wife, Ruth, son, Craig Parkington and granddaughter Amber Walker.

A celebration of life will be held at the Pavilion at Timber Pines, Spring Hill, on April 13th from 1:00-3:00. If attending, please inform the gate that you are a guest of his former wife, Sue Collier.
