Valerie Martinez, 42, of Las Cruces, NM passed away peacefully on September 13, 2022, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Valerie grew up in Las Cruces, a town she loved and never left. She worked as a caregiver for 15 years and enjoyed watching scary movies and spending time with family.  Valerie will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Valerie was predeceased by her father Carlos Martinez and sister Nicole Martinez. She is survived by Her mother Jennine Martinez, Her stepfather Esmael Sanchez Her father in-law Richard Herrera, Husband Isaac Herrera. Children Isaac Martinez-Herrera, Isaiah Hererra Sisters Anna Herrera and Marissa Chavez-Martinez, Her In laws Christopher Martinez and Melody Chavez-Martinez. Niece Brioni Martinez, Nephews Anthony Herrera, Robert Martinez, Carlos Martinez Jr, Nico Martinez. Valerie requested a celebration of life be held in her honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Valerie’s loved ones to join us in celebrating the beautiful life of Valerie Martinez at St Genevieve's Church for a Rosary on Thursday Sept 29,2022 At 9:30am-11am. Following a get together at Apodoca Park with the Family. Everyone is Welcome to join us afterwards.
