Valerie's obituary
Valerie Duhaney was a loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth and joy filled every space she entered. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, leaving behind a family who will forever cherish her memory.
Valerie was a woman of deep faith. She loved attending church each week and shared her love through service — often cooking meals for fellow church members and welcoming everyone with open arms. Her generosity knew no limits, and her kitchen was always a place of comfort, laughter, and togetherness.
She was also a performer at heart. Valerie had a gift for making people laugh with her impersonations, accents, and joyful spirit. Family gatherings were never complete without her humor, her stories, and her famous dishes — especially her unforgettable Thanksgiving stuffing and cornbread, which will forever be family legends.
Valerie was the proud wife of Kenneth Duhaney (“Chappy”), a devoted sister to Edna Tucker, and a deeply loved aunt to Taisha, Kiki, and Keisha. She lived just down the street from family, and her presence was a constant source of love and connection in our lives.
Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for the time we had with Valerie and the legacy of faith, laughter, and kindness she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
🕊️ Rest in peace, Aunt Valerie.
