Valerie "Val" Brehm, 94, of Donegal, PA, passed peacefully  to more abundant life  on April 11, 2023.  Val was living with her daughter Natalie Kunkle in Donegal PA when she passed .

Valerie was born on April 8, 1929 to Emile and Madeline Chamberlain in Turtle Creek, PA. She   graduated from Turtle Creek HS .  She and her high school sweetheart, William "Bill" Brehm,  were wed on August 11, 1950.

Val was predeceased by her husband Bill in 2011; a son, William "Billie" Brehm in 1957;  and a daughter, Roberta "Berta" Louise in 2022.   She is survived by her brother, Franklin(Viv) Chamberlain of Florida and her  sister, Patrice Neese (Vince) of Pittsburgh.  Valerie will be greatly missed by her children:  Laurie Wehle (Terence) , Natalie Kunkle (Paul), Matthew (Andrea Ferguson) and Margaret Barnes. 

Valerie leaves 14  grandchildren , 17 great grandchildren and  3 great, great grandchildren to mourn her loss.

Val's family was her life. She was skilled in sewing and painting. She was a lifelong, active Christian practicing on three continents. Everywhere that Val  and Bill lived she became  involved in the culture and the people. Valerie "bloomed where she was planted" and enjoyed life to the fullest. She never met a stranger.

Until Bill's passing in 2011, they raised a large family and lived and traveled around the world. Val and Bill returned to western PA in 2005 to be near family.

Valerie's Ashes will be interred  with  Berta's ashes, at a later date. We will notify family and friends  of the time and place.
