Born on August 7, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan, Val spent her final moments surrounded by love in Allen Park, Michigan, after a courageous battle with cancer. Val's infectious laughter and indomitable spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Val's life was a tapestry of love and dedication to her family. She is survived by her siblings, Becky Moscarello, Greg Moscarello, and Brad Moscarello. Her legacy continues with her adoring children, Angelina (Kevin) Iannicello of Taylor, Christie (Patrick) Herr of Jerome, Desirae (Matthew) Iannicello of Wayne, Jodee Iannicello of Trenton, and Angelo Iannicello of Wayne, as well as her former husband, Paul Lindquist of Romulus, and through her nine grandchildren, Alexis Lindquist, Devin (Brittany) Joslin, Dakota (Blaze) Bethel, Kody Lindquist, Armiah Lindquist, Kassy Lindquist, Skylar Steffan, Bradley Looper, and Bella Mitchell, and her nine great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her zest for life and her boundless love.
Val's passion for life was evident in her diverse interests. She was an ardent fan of television shows like "Days of Our Lives," "Fox 2," "Big Brother," and "Shameless." Her musical tastes were eclectic, ranging from the rock anthems of Ozzy Osborne, Michael Jackson, Kid Rock, Poison, Motley Crue, to the classic tunes of Van Halen. Val's love for music extended beyond her favorite bands, as she enjoyed watching live bands, "America's Got Talent," "American Idol," "Unmasked," football halftime shows, the Grammys, and "Saturday Night Live."
An enthusiastic sports supporter, Val was a true Detroit fan, cheering on the Tigers, Red Wings, Lions, and Pistons with unwavering loyalty. Her presence at games, whether in the stands or in front of the television, was a testament to her love for her hometown teams.
