We regretfully announce the passing of Valarie Val Coleman in Garner, NC on March 19, 2024. Valarie was surrounded by her family and passed away peacefully.

Our mother, Valarie, was one of the tenacious, most resilient, resourceful, and giving  women to ever walk this earth and our family was blessed to know and love her. Valarie was born to Arnita Alderson and Ervin Coleman in Chicago Heights, Illinois September 14th 1964, and had ten siblings. Valarie had five daughters that she loved with all her heart. She gave her best  to her family and loved them fiercely. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her.

Valarie was predeceased by her father Ervin Akbar Coleman; Godfather, Fred Meriweather, and grandson Jonathan Cory Naraine Jr.  She is survived by her mother Arnita Diane Alderson, Godmother Lydia Meriweather her siblings Johnny Smallwood, Victor Coleman, Angelique Ibitoye, Ricardo Alderson, Tamara Alderson, Brittany Alderson, Ervin Coleman, Daryl Coleman, Miata Aakbar, and Arnesia Carter; her daughters Keoshia Simon and husband William Simon, Nicole Coleman, Renee Davis and husband Jason Davis, Jerlisa Coleman and Destinie Armstrong and husband Thomas Armstrong; her grand children Makayla Thompson, Ne’Khyia Neelon, Rashaud and Denise McGowan, Jada Davis, Sunni and Teddy Armstrong, and Nola Simon.. Services will be held on 4 May 2024 in Princeton Texas.
