I never got the opportunity to meet Urso in person, but I've admired his work ever since I discovered World's Fairs back in the late 2000s. His passion for World's Fairs will always be remembered. The community has lost such a legend!

We would have our social distance picnics at least once a week and we would always get Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich as well as their very dry biscuits. Urso always complained about them, but still ate them anyway. I always had to bring 3 glass cokes and Urso never understood how I was not diabetic yet lol. Because of him and all the zoom meetings he started, I met so many great people. He is the best and will be greatly missed.
I followed Urso for years, since his Livejournal days, and hung out in person when he (briefly) returned to Georgia in the late 90s, early 2000s. I’m glad I can contribute to the preservation of his expo archive.
i will always remember getting to know you when you lived in Toronto and the all the fun we had....
I will always remember Urso for his wit, and his kindness.
In response to "What always reminds you of Urso?"
I only knew Urso for a short while, and all online, but during that time he was a thoughtful, knowledgeable, and genuine man who had a passion for the World Expo, with a wealth of personal experience to share in the matter. I had so looked forward to meeting him in person at the Dubai Expo, but it was not meant to be.

My life was better for knowing you - thank you for being yourself.
