Tyler Joseph Prine
March 26, 2002 – December 17, 2022
Tyler Prine, age 20, of Richardson TX passed away December 17, 2022 unexpectedly from complications of diabetes at his parents’ home in Richardson.
Tyler was born on March 26, 2002 in St Charles, MO to Mandy (Martin) Prine. Tyler graduated from Faith Academy as the Salutatorian in May of 2019. He graduated from Gordon State College with an Associate’s Degree in Engineering in May of 2019.
He was currently a Senior at The University of Alabama majoring in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanical Engineering set to graduate in May 2023. He was also working on his Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Alabama and was only 12 hours short of completion. Tyler was a member of UA Rocketry Club, Omicron Delta Kappa 2019-2022, Pi Tau Sigma (Mechanical Engineering Honor Society) 2020-2022, and awarded Outstanding Junior in Aerospace in 2021. He had been published multiple times for research in Fluid Dynamics in Aerospace Engineering. He worked at the University of Alabama Supe Store for the last 3 years. Tyler had a love for space and was wise beyond his years. He had a thirst for knowledge and a curiosity for what was beyond our world. He understood the concept of time travel that most people couldn’t fathom.
Tyler is survived by his parents Robert and Mandy Prine of Richardson, TX; Grandparents, Barb Martin, Wentzville, MO and Bob and Eula Prine, Hollywood MD. Aunts Kelly (Brian) Glynn, Columbia SC. Uncles, Eric (Natalie) Martin, Saint Ann, MO, Chris (Joyce) Millikan, O’Fallon MO, Tony (Tammy) Millikan, Maryland Heights MO, Mike McDuffey, Wentzville, MO. Numerous cousins. Great Aunts Janet (Jerry) Hope, Theodore AL, great uncles Terry (Gina) Prine, Mobile AL.
Tyler was preceded in death by his grandfather Joseph Martin, Wright City, MO and his beloved Dirty Uncle Leroy Jenkins, Jackson GA.
A Visitation and Celebration of Tyler’s life will be held January 7, 2023 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at The Rivers Ranch, Inc in Jackson GA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations of gift cards (Publix, Visa, or gas cards) for Tyler’s best friends from college. All three are set to graduate in May 2023.
