Tyler Samuel Nelson unexpectedly passed away on January 17, 2024, leaving behind his wife, Megan, his parents, Tom and Kathy, his eight siblings, 20 nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, in-laws, and countless friends who loved him so much.

Tyler was an incredible guy who never met a stranger he couldn’t engage in a meaningful way or conversation. His easy smile, curious nature and enthusiasm attracted friends wherever he went.

Tyler delighted in nature and was an adventurous man both personally and professionally. His happiest moments were spent with his wife, family, and friends climbing the highest peaks, sailing the seas, and exploring the natural wonders of the world. He was an entrepreneur and jack of all trades. He was always happy to barter in his community with a currency of “honey or money”.

We love you and will miss you, Tyler. You were the light in our lives. 

A gathering to celebrate Tyler’s life will be held on February 17, 2024, in Keller, TX at the Bowden Chapel at 1:00 PM. In the meantime, if anyone would like to share stories, memories, or photos of Tyler please include them here. We will be displaying these messages at the gathering and there will also be an opportunity for friends and family to read their notes aloud for all to hear.

For anyone who knew Tyler and would like to attend, you are welcome. If you are planning to attend, RSVP with the total number of your party.  We look forward to gathering with you soon to celebrate Tyler’s life together.

In lieu of gifts or flowers please consider a contribution to help the Nelson family with the funeral expenses. Any excess donations will be given to Tyler’s wife, Megan, as a “friendship fund” to help ease any financial burdens that arise in the wake of Tyler’s swift and unexpected departure.
