Turgut Y. Alper passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 21, 2020 in his home in Bellefontaine, Ohio, one month shy of his 76th birthday. Turgut was born on June 17, 1944 in Istanbul, Turkey to Mebruke Fatma and Muammer Mehmet Alper. He spent his childhood and early life in Istanbul, playing soccer and spending his days at the Marmara Sea.
