Troy F. Slusser, 79, of Rock Falls, IL, passed away peacefully on March 06, 2024  at Rock River Hospice Home.

Troy was born on December 14, 1944  to Troy Lee and Mary Annie Slusser (Peppers) in Ozark, AR.  Troy worked as mechanic and was an owner operator driving semi for many years. He enjoyed flathead fishing at the lower dam . Troy is survived by, seven children, Lory Moore of Portland OR, Lonna (Dave) Lira of Rock Falls, IL, Kellie (Denny) Schroeder of Sterling, IL, Troy Slusser of Davenport, IA, Brock (Monica) Slusser of Cleves, OH, Daniel (Jamie) Purkapile of Rock Falls, IL and Allison Purkapile (Jordan) of Rock Falls, IL. Nineteen grandchildren Kylie Moore, Jamie Villegas, Dylan Moore, Kelsey Schroeder, Brooke Slusser, Dayton Schroeder, Derek (Mary) Slusser, Drew Schroeder, Jessie Lira, Zack Slusser, Justice Lira, Maci Slusser, Jerimiah Purkapile, Jersey Purkapile, Achilles Swearinger, Ares Swearinger, Jeriah Purkapile, Anu Sanchez & Jade Purkapile. Two great grandchildren, Tyler Hall and Cirenity Lira. Two brothers Larry Slusser of Cabot, AR and Mike Slusser of Marshall, TX.  He was proceeded in death by his parents, five siblings, Jim Slusser, Gordon Slusser, Bob Slusser, Dorothy Slusser, Mirl Mennenga (Slusser). Two grandchildren John Paul Villegas and Kayla Slusser. One great grandchild Maddox Rodriguez. 

There will be a memorial service on Thursday March 14. 2024 at Abiding Word Church, Sterling, IL at 10:00am following the memorial service, burial will be at 11:00 am at Riverside Cemetery, Sterling, IL.
