Troy's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Troy Hargrave Jr. on December 6, 2025.
Born on February 21, 1984 in Portland, Oregon, United States, Troy was the beloved son of Troy Wayne Hargrave and Wendy Sue Hargrave (Bokoskie). He was 41 years old at the time of passing.
Troy leaves behind his son, Hudson Dean Hargrave. Troy's main passion was to see his son thrive and succeed. Troy will always be with him in spirit cheering him on.
Survivors Include: Wendy Sue Hargrave (Bokoskie) Mother; Hudson Dean Hargrave (Son); Zeletta Lorna Hargrave (Shetler) Grandmother; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceded in Death By: Troy Wayne Hargrave (Father); William Dempsey Bokoskie (Grandfather); Lois Jean Bokoskie (Plymate) Grandmother; Jack Dolan Hargrave (Grandfather); Saundra Kay Welch (Bokoskie) Aunt; Teresa Lynn Hargrave (Aunt).
Troy attended Vernonia High School and graduated in 2002. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. There are many friends out there that know, or knew, Troy. Some of those friends he has now joined in the heaven above (Dylan; Cheek) to name a couple. Troy worked in several trades such as construction; warehouse; concrete; and CNC work.
Troy had a passion for Toyota's, hence he gained the nickname 'Troyota'. His other passions included fishing, croquet, rock crawling, 4-wheeling, installing stereos in rigs, riding and fixing bicycles, and rock hounding. He had a knack for fixing anything when given the opportunity. His adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors will be remembered by all.
Tragically, Troy's life was cut short by cancer. He fought bravely until the end, showing immense strength and resilience. He passed away in his home on that fateful day. A son, father and friend who will never be forgotten.
May Troy rest in peace, knowing that he was loved and cherished by his family and friends. He will forever hold a special place in our hearts. May we always remember the good times that we had spending time with him. May we always feel his spirit soaring high above us.
Troy has taught me one thing and that is how to love and value life. It is too short to waste. Troy’s ashes will be spread during the summer time at a place that Troy loved the most. When the time comes, friends and family will be notified so that they can be present if so desired. The notification will be sent a month in advance. Place and time to be determined.
