Troy Gowler, of Sycamore, Illinois, passed away on February 23, 2026, at the home he shared with his partner, Kyra Rider, for more than twenty years.
Troy spent much of his life in Elgin and worked a variety of hands on jobs, from tree service and sewer work to rebuilding Harleys. Known for his stories and his love of friends, hot rods, and drag racing, he was happiest tinkering in the garage, grilling, and chatting …
