Trinidad Guzman Garcia, 75, of Chula Vista, CA, passed away on March 15, 2022 after a  battle with cancer. Trinidad was born on April 24, 1946 to Jose De Guzman and Encarnacion Hermogeno De Guzman in San Carlos City, Pangasinan, Philippines.   She attended high school at Palaris Junior College (formerly known as Palaris Academy) from 1958 through 1962.  In the summer of 1960, Trinidad met Apolinario Garcia and their friendship bloomed into a romance.  From 1963 to 1967, Trinidad studied at San Carlos College where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education.   After graduating from college, she landed her first job as a teacher at Morning Breeze Elementary School in Caloocan City.   In 1969, Trinidad married Apolinario,  going on to have three children: Gerald, Eileen and Aimee.  Trinidad
enjoyed spending time with family, taking care of her grandchildren, conversing with relatives and friends, attending Sunday mass, gardening in the backyard, and connecting with old friends and distant relatives on Facebook.   In 2015, Trinidad was diagnosed with cancer.  She underwent treatment and continued to live a full life until the cancer returned in 2021.  She chose not to undergo chemotherapy even though it may have extended her life a few more months.  Instead, she chose to accept the will of our Lord and put her faith in Him.  We miss her greatly.  Trinidad was predeceased by her sisters: Adelina Garcia, Narcisa Tamayo, Pacita Dee, Rosa Padlan, and Aurelia Sindao.  She is survived by her sister Elesia Patayan.  There will be a viewing on April 6, 2022 from 3:00-8:00PM at Community Mortuary.  The funeral mass will be at Mater Dei Catholic Church in Chula Vista at 12:00PM followed by the burial at Miramar National Cemetery at 2:30PM.
