Trifana's obituary

Trifana Ann Argue passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025, at the age of 69.

She was born on May 29, 1956, in Dayton, Ohio, and was adopted by Edward and Cledith Argue, who raised her with love and care.

She graduated from Fairmont West High School in Kettering, Ohio, at the age of 17. Following graduation, she participated in a full scholarship work-study program at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, where she worked in the metallurgy lab. She later attended cosmetology school and worked in her family’s beauty salon, where she learned business operations, bookkeeping, and customer care.

A point of personal pride was earning her college degree from Northwood University later in life—an accomplishment that reflected her determination and lifelong commitment to learning.

She was married twice and was the mother of two children, Kevin and Nicole, who survive her. She is also survived by two grandchildren.

Throughout her professional life, she became a respected contributor to the tire industry. She held leadership roles including President of the North Texas Tire Dealers Association and served on the Board of Directors for the Texas Tire Dealers and Retreaders Association. In 1995, she was honored with the Fellowship Award in recognition of her commitment and service. She was later invited to serve on the National Tire Dealers and Retreaders Association, a testament to her professional excellence and leadership.

Outside of her professional achievements, she was a creative and entrepreneurial spirit. She founded Treasured Dreams, a part-time business through which she designed and sold handmade crafts and floral arrangements. Her designs earned numerous awards at craft fairs and shows, where she was a well-loved and familiar presence.

Her passion for technology led her to purchase her first personal computer in 1990, initially to manage records for Treasured Dreams. This sparked a deep interest in genealogy. Through her research, she was able to locate and establish contact with her birth mother, with whom she shared a brief but meaningful connection before her passing.

She was also an avid gamer and found joy in computer games throughout her later years.

She overcame many personal and medical challenges in her life with strength and resolve. A survivor of both a brain aneurysm and a meningioma in 2016, she became an advocate within the brain aneurysm survivor community. She was proud of her recovery, her activism, and her role in raising awareness. She ultimately passed away following a diagnosis of brain cancer.

In her later years, she lived in Colorado, where she found peace and joy in a close-knit community. She loved participating in water aerobics, gardening, and spending time with her two grandchildren. Her home was filled with flowers and whimsical fairy gardens, and her neighbors became treasured friends. Her happy place was near the ocean, listening to the waves—a source of deep comfort and joy throughout her life.

She will be remembered for her independence, perseverance, creative spirit, and quiet strength.

She will be cremated, and a private burial ceremony will be held by her family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to the Glioblastoma Foundation, PO Box 62066, Durham, NC 27715, or online at glioblastomafoundation.org.
