Trevor lives on in our memories. Those times we saw Trevor foraging the yard, teaching us about the great delicacy that grew at the top of the ferns (He was right...feddle heads are wonderful!) Kurt and I will always remember Trevors mischievous grin and willingness to stop and talk when he was out in the yard or on a walk. The humor, energy and easygoing nature of Trevor will always ripple through us when we think of him. Cathy and Kurt Fahres

I had a window into Trevor's world about 25 years ago when we started making music together. Before being a chef or getting married, he was a bright, energetic kid who was finishing up high school. His reason for playing was the purest: self-expression. His short-scale Yamaha bass (a tool rather than something expensive or "cool") and authentic style reminded me a little of Mike Watt. As he matured, so did his music and style of playing. Totally authentic.

For people like me who sort of "passed through" his life for a short period of time (plus the silly Facebook message every now and then), I bet it's surprisingly easy for us to come up with a ton of memories about the guy. Even 25 years later, I distinctly remember:

1. Why he was let go from RCS (a story he told EXACTLY in the 180-degree style of how Rick James explained how he messed up Eddie Murphy's couch - except YEARS before it was filmed - https://youtu.be/ry2XlLKctiI?…)

2. Finding him in the corner of the Concert Cafe having a deep chat with Donny Paycheck from Zeke.

3. Watching him trying to park outside Rushmor Records.

4. Trying to buy a pack of Camel Light Wides at a random inner-city gas station in Milwaukee.

Maybe I should stop there since three of those stories include details that would earn, at a minimum, a municipal citation.

I wish I could be there today to share stories and to give his dad, wife, and that dog, Greyson, a huge hug. The best I can do is share some 'beatles-era' pictures of Trevor doing something he loved.

With you in spirit.
-Tony

(ps, please add more photos of yours so my silly ones don't stay on top)
Oh Lee, we are so terribly saddened to hear of the passing of Trevor! Tricia just informed me. Unfortunately, we will be out of town tomorrow, so are unable to come to Trevor’s Celebration of Life. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to you and your family.
