Travis's obituary
Travis Boone, 50, of El Centro, CA, passed away on March 10, 2024.
Travis was born on November 10, 1973, to Diane Boone Wesley and Daniel Boone. In 1999, he met Tammy Shoemaker, going on to have two beautiful daughters. Travis was a proud veteran, serving in Iraq and Desert Storm. He was also a part of the 92nd infantry.
His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of Hannah Boone, Brianna Boone, and their mother, Tammy Shoemaker and always tried his best to support them, despite the distance. Travis was also a passionate gamer and could often be found playing Call of Duty for hours. He was also an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and would never miss a game. Anyone who knew Travis knew that he was tough, brave, and loved his family very much.
Travis was predeceased by his mother Diane Boone Wesley. He is survived by his two daughters, Hannah and Brianna Boone (Jacob), his sisters Rachel Reichardt (Bill), Theresa Darnell (Otto), his father, Daniel Boone, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins who love him dearly. If you have a favorite memory of or with Travis, the family requests you post it to his Facebook page, where we can all share and enjoy memories of when Travis was still with us. He was cremated at Gardens of Eden in California and his memorial service was at Impact Christian Church in Stephens City, Virginia.
Travis was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. If you wish to do something in Travis' memory, he was always a huge advocate for the Wounded Warrior Project as well as an advocate for Multiple Sclerosis Research, in hopes that one day, there could be a cure.
Til we see Travis again, Valhalla.
