Tracy's obituary

Tracy Lynn Benton, 48, passed away at her home on December 30, 2022. She was born on June 22, 1974, in Des Moines, Iowa to William “Bill” Davis and Donna Hanlin.

Tracy was a very kind and compassionate soul. She loved without conditions and would drop everything, no matter night or day, to be there for those she loved. She enjoyed movies, all genres of music, and she was passionate about her Candy Crush game. She always had a keen eye for other hidden object games as well as she was very detail-oriented. She was a wonderful cook and housekeeper. She loved meeting new people, spending time with family, and had a wonderful zest for life. She enjoyed camping, loved riding her bike and never missed an opportunity to attend a good cookout. Her favorite color was purple which represents peace, creativity, independence, love, and pride. All of which she embodied, wholeheartedly. Tracy had the opportunity to live in Minnesota with her life partner, Tammy. She absolutely loved being in nature and living the farm life. Tracy will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Tracy is survived by her daughter, Melissa; son, Travis; son, Michael, and son, Ryan; grandchildren: Brylee, Nolan, Hope, and Joshua; her brother Jerry (Missy) Davis; her nephews; Cody (Misty) Benton and Trenton (Paige) Davis; her life partner, Tammy Blumer and her fur baby Roxy along with many extended relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ricky Benton.
