Tracie's obituary
Tracie Hash Nisker, 58, of Burke, VA, passed away on May 24, 2022 after a debilitating battle with widely metastasized triple negative breast cancer.
Tracie was born on December 11, 1963 to Calvin Lewis Hash and Gay Nell Hash. After graduating from Crestview High School in 1982, Tracie met Gary and they wed on August 11, 1990. Tracie had two daughters, Ashlyn and Kylee who were the center of her life. Tracie spent her children’s younger years as being a fantastic mother and excelled at supporting them through the many activities and hobbies throughout their childhood. She could be found rescuing and helping animals in need and on the sideline of every soccer, basketball, cheerleading, gymnastics, softball, track meet, and field hockey game and practice. Tracie was a passionate and creative spirit and when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found at craft shows or volunteering for every PTA, Girl Scout Troop Leader, and classroom parent opportunity until she was ultimately offered a full-time job at the same school Ashlyn and Kylee attended, North Springfield Elementary School in 2003. She went on to study and earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Grantham University and work at the school she loved dearly for nearly 20 years and left a legacy that will not be forgotten by any who had the honor to work with her and know her. We will miss her greatly.
Tracie was predeceased by her parents, Calvin Lewis Hash and Gay Nell Hash. She is survived by her sister Kimberly Sweck, her daughters Ashlyn and Kylee Nisker, and many niece and nephews and her previous husband Gary Nisker.
The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to either of her daughters or donate to a cancer society in her memory. There was a Celebration of Life held at Paradise Springs Winery on Sunday, June 13th at 12:00 noon.
