Tony and I spent our summers riding motorcycles, swimming in the Washita River and shooting pool at the Dairy Boy. We bought Richey Rich and Archie comic books and read them in the barber shop. He had a Honda 70 and I had a Honda 50 Mini Trail. We raced all the time and even though mine was smaller, I always came out the winner. We were too young to ride on the streets, so we had to ride in the alleys of Ft. Cobb. We knew every alley in that small town (town was so small, there wasn’t even a stoplight). To this day, there isn’t a stoplight in Ft. Cobb Oklahoma. When we swam in the river, we had to skim the top of the water with our arms. Little did I know then, we were clearing cow urine and manure that seeped into the river upstream. We put pennies on the train tracks and watched them get flattened when the trains ran over them. We caught lightning bugs and put them in jars. I remember when he rode into a barbed wire fence and cut his cheek and had to have stitches.
So many great memories. I remember all of them fondly. Good, innocent times.
Godspeed Tony, until we meet again…🙏

I knew Tony from college. He was a good friend. But, like all of those other people you go to school with, you lose track and next thing you know, you've got 2 of your own kids and find out on Facebook that your friend is married to a lovely lady and has grandkids! I never conversed once with Tony since college but I became friends with his wife. I got to know their lives through Kathy. And looking at that life, you two were lucky to have found each other. My condolences in your loss.

I did not know him, only, of him. I wouldn't recognize him if he walked into the room. But I know you and have known you for almost my entire life. And in such, I feel I know him. Because he saw in you, what those that have been privileged to have known you, something unique and rare and beautiful, and for him, something he wanted to possess and be close to the rest of his life. I feel he must surely have known how lucky he was. And now, it is time to collect those precious memories of a lifetime of sharing and let them sustain you. And I pray and know that they will. I stand ready to serve in whatever way that brings peace and peacefulness to you and your family.
