Tony's obituary
Tony Lamont Miller, 52, of Lewisville, TX, passed away on March 17, 2024 unexpectedly.
Tony was born on April 30, 1971 to Jimmie & Ola Miller in Jacksonville, Texas. After graduating from Robert E. Lee High School (where he held the school record in track) in Tyler, Texas, he went on to study Sociology at Texas Tech University on an athletic scholarship. During that time he made great friends and earned the name T. Mill from some of his closest friends who he remained close to prior to passing. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Master’s degree in Counseling, he landed his first job as a Counselor for MHMR for several years, eventually becoming a licensed counselor and working at North Lake College and Cigna. At Texas Tech, he met Tina, and they wed in 1998, and went on to have 2 children, Toni and Tye.
Tony was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of Toni and Tye and always tried his best to support them.
Tony was also a passionate about football and track and could often be found cooking, coaching, and working out when he wasn’t at home.
Anyone who knew Tony knew that he was the most loving father and grandfather a family could ask for. He was a great listener and enjoyed reading the Word. He loved deeply with his whole heart. Tony was predeceased by his grandparents, father, and mother. He is survived by his children and their mother, his grandson, his brother Todd Miller, his best friend Alicia, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, coached football players, and students.
