Tony was a role model for me. I met Tony when I came to MHS as a counselor. It was my first time being part of a high school staff and being responsible for complicated student discipline. Tony caught my attention by the respectful and centered way in which he treated everybody. He didn’t need to be boisterous, nor did he need people to recognize all the good work he did. There are so many brave and compassionate acts for which Tony received no recognition, because he just did them to help and protect others. Working with Tony was to be treated with respect, kindness, empathy, quiet strength, and his great sense of humor. I later had the privilege of becoming close with Sandra and the J-Lo’s, and I have been blessed to know the beautiful wife and children for whom Tony was so grateful and proud. I see Tony’s best qualities in all of his children and I believe, though he was so gifted in his career, the children he loved so much is the greatest legacy he has left with us. I miss Tony and I am grateful that he lived and that I was blessed to know him. Some people’s love is bigger than their earthly presence. I believe Tony is one of those people and that his love will never leave us.

Psalm 23:4
“Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me, your rod, and your staff, protect and comfort me.”
I hope this verse blesses you and your family. You are all very LOVED!
