My “dear” friend Toni...
I will always remember our times together...our talks and the time you surprised me by walking in my hospital room to take my hand and prayed for me to get better! I wished and prayed for you to get better...but God had a different plan for you! You are now our special angel watching from above making sure that we all are ok till we meet again! I love and miss you my special friend...I miss our talks....I miss our hugs!! There will never be another Toni! I will always keep watch for my red bird! As I say to my Momma in heaven...blow me a kiss in the wind...I’ll be waiting! 😘

Names and titles don’t define us.

What defines us is compassion for others. Gratitude for the little things. Character that teaches lessons. Dedication to never give up. And, unconditional love for those closest to us. To me, this was Toni.
 While I keep my emotions close to heart and she didn’t hear it often enough, I’m grateful to call her my step mom, Grace’s grandmother and one of our family’s most treasured assets.

I wouldn’t be the person I am today without your constant presence, love and support in every aspect of my life. She was my dad’s partner. My cheerleader in sports. My ally for borrowing her car. My fan when I brought drums in the house. And, in recent years, my business partner and advocate for success.

Without Toni, my life would look different. I’m thankful for the time we shared and she will forever be a reminder of what we should strive to be.
