What always reminds me of Toni are the silver salt and pepper shakers she took home with her to shine up for me. She came down to visit with us during one of our garage sales. I had these salt & pepper shakers half-way in the sale. She offered to take them home and clean the tarnish off of them. She did a great job - - I decided to keep them.
She had them for a couple weeks before I got them back. I went down to check on them and she said she had ordered a new one for me because one of the shakers had fallen off their balcony and got dented. I told her that it was okay - - she didn't need to replace it. Then we sat for a while and talked. We had a nice conversation. I was hoping for more of them. I found out how she absolutely admired her son. And, I found out a little history of her house and kitchen area. I so enjoyed visiting with her. I found out from her that Edward had spent some time in our house when he was growing up. I'm hoping to get with Edward to hear some stories about our house.
