With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Tomohnd Newkirk, a beacon of light born on October 29, 2009, who left us too soon on December 18, 2024. Tomohnd's warmth and kindness will forever be remembered and carried in the hearts of those who knew him.
Tomohnd leaves behind a loving family who treasured him beyond words. He is survived by his mother, Lauren Ichegbo, his father, Thomas Newkirk, and his siblings, Tomarion Newkirk, Raleiah Thompson, and Matthew Brown. His grandparents, Grace and Dan Oliver Jr., also mourn his tragic loss with heavy hearts.
Tomohnd had a zest for life and embraced every day with enthusiasm and curiosity. He had an undying love for rice crispy treats and Reese’s, which would always bring a gleaming smile to his face.
Easily absorbed in the world of cinema, his favorite film was 'Friday'. He also loved playing football, displaying a competitive spirit and team camaraderie that brought joy to all that played alongside him.
Music held a special place in Tomohnd's life, offering solace, inspiration, and joy. Listening to his favorite melodies was a cherished pastime and a form of expression that truly spoke to his soul.
Tomohnd was profoundly drawn to his family, showing unwavering love and support towards his mother and siblings. This commitment to family was a cause he deeply cared about, and it reflected in the way he treated and cared for those in his life.
