My prayers and condolences go out for this family. Tommy was a good man and his love for the mentally challenged was over the moon in my eyes. My Michael will miss him deeply along with many others.

I haven’t fully accepted this. He was a big part of my family. One of the most amazing guy. My family will always miss him. I had to call him every other weekend so Michael could talk to him and he would always come and get him for a while. I was so blessed to have known him.

I was shocked and saddened when I heard the news of Mr. Tommy's passing. I attended the South Side Tabernacle Christian School with his two eldest sons. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Tommy came to help my Dad this winter, with deep empathy and respect toward him. Tommy’s calm and felt positivity resonated and offered dignity to my Dad as much as needed respite to my Mom. It instantly brought sorrow to our whole extended family upon learning of his passing, as Tommy’s extraordinary qualities were easily acknowledged from afar by all my family.
We would like to offer our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to Tommy’s family, knowing that the breadth of positive influence throughout his life must bring greater sorrow at this moment. I hope that the passage of time will carry within all Tommy’s family and community the spirit that animated him.

The Schwartz and Byron family were devasted to hear of Tommy’s passing.
Gary was lucky to have had Tommy as a companion.
Tommy was caring and genuinely interested in Gary and his well being.
We will miss his big heart.
