Obituary for Tommy Edgar Kamer Jr.

Tommy Edgar Kamer Jr., 57, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on June 2, 2025, in Abilene, Texas.

Tommy was born on December 12, 1967, in Sweetwater, where he spent most of his life surrounded by family, friends, and the community he loved. He was a proud father to his three children: Bobbie Jo Kamer and her husband Ray, Savanna Kamer and her husband Malcolm Black, and Trevor Kamer. He was also the proud grandfather of Liam, whom he adored deeply.

Tommy is also survived by his loving mother Agnes Ann Kamer. His siblings: Melissa Clark and her husband David, Sue Allred and her husband Jamie, and Lewis Kamer and his wife Mary. He was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews, and he absolutely treasured his great-nieces and great-nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father Tommy Edgar Kamer Sr.

Tommy had a zest for life and a heart that touched everyone he met. He found joy in simple pleasures — watching sports, fishing, playing golf and softball, and even snake hunting. He was known for his fun-loving spirit, his kindness, and his deep care for others. Tommy had a way of making people feel seen and loved, and his presence brought laughter and warmth wherever he went.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, June 6, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at 908 E Ave B, Sweetwater, TX.

Tommy’s life was a gift to all who knew him. He will be missed beyond words, but his love and memories will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
