Tommie's obituary
Tommie "Moose" Randall Garner, 42, of Summerdale, AL, decided to go on the ultimate fishing trip in the sky on March 13, 2024. Pensacola, FL, is where he cast his final line, and boy, did he live a tale worth telling.
Moose was the Michelangelo of landscaping – his green thumb was practically legendary. He found joy in the simple things: a puff of smoke, the tug of a fish on the line, and the great outdoors, where he was the unofficial mayor of the creek.
His playlist was as legendary as his fishing stories, and he shared his love for music with anyone within earshot. A master of dad jokesand pranks, Moose had a heart so golden, it could have been a country song hit.
He is survived by his leading lady, Joy, his trusty sidekick Darin, and his dynamic duo of daughters, Jade and Emma. His fan club includes grandmother Ruby Sanspree, aunts Katina Armstead and Deborah Conway, uncles Winston and Wayne Sanspree, and the cousin crew: Tony (Jennifer) Sanspree, Shawn, Timmy and David Conway. His furry best bud, Reese, is wagging his tail in memory.
Moose was welcomed to the great gig in the sky by his mother Louise Sanspree, uncle Robert Sanspree, and his grandpa, Rufus "Buddy" Sanspree, probably with a fishing rod in hand.
Mark your calendars for April 20, 2024, because we're throwing a celebration of life that's sure to be as unforgettable as Moose's laughter. The Family will post details when they are finalized.
Moose's legacy will live on, just like the fish tales that grow with every telling. Tight lines, Moose, until we all meet again at that great fishing spot in the sky.
