Over the years, we had the pleasure of getting to know Tome and Gary through Kelli and Jason (our son) and their children. Spencer and Lucy had many activities that we attended and shared with Tome and Gary, including birthdays and holidays. Tome was always very gracious and kind. She had a beautiful smile. The last time we saw Tome and Gary was at Lucy’s graduation from 6th grade, which was a car parade earlier this year. Tome will be missed.

I have been overwhelmed by me…
I have been overwhelmed by memories this week. Things I hadn’t though of in years like Tome dropping me off at school, buying Babysitter Club books, and laughing at CJ trying to learn to Scuba Dive. I didn’t even realize how many things trigger memories. I’m crushed that I didn’t get to tell Tome some of the news I wanted to tell her. I believe she knows anyway. Tome gave me kindness, comfort, fun, and love for 33 ish years. I loved her. I will always think of something I need to ask her. Daddy would be devastated. We will do our best to keep Tome’s memory alive and nurture our family relationships. Chris, Todd, Cole, Kelli, and CJ are siblings forever. ❤️

I’m sending love and prayers to the family of an amazing lady who had a huge impact on my life. Her Sterling spirit always brightened my day and her many conversations about life and her wisdom has had a huge impact on my life. She now has her huge crown that was waiting on her in Heaven. She was definitely an angel on earth! I pray that God’s grace covers and comforts the family throughout this difficult time.

Grandma Tome was always so supportive of me in everything I did. I will never forget my state cross-country meet my senior year of high school. Grandma Tome and Pops drove to Round Rock to watch me race in cold, wet, and extremely muddy conditions. I remember looking down and seeing their shoes and pants caked in mud, yet they were both so happy to see me run. I recently graduated from U of H in the spring and due to corona there was not a ceremony. Instead, my family and I did a zoom call. Grandma Tome spent so much time on the phone with my dad trying to figure out zoom, just to be sure she could be on that call to congratulate me. I am beyond thankful she was a part of such an important moment in my life. I will miss Grandma Tome so very much but I am extremely thankful for the 23 years I got to spend with her.

Lucky enough to have been spoiled by Grandma Tome for the past 19 years.

My grandmother was someone of many talents. She made the worlds greatest hot sauce and the greatest thanksgiving meals I could imagine. We always looked forward to thanksgiving in my family, especially Nicholas (he would eat and eat and eat). Nothing was better than the feast she would make for the whole family. Thanksgiving was always my favorite holiday with Grandma Tome. From playing football on the big hill in the yard to her sneaking us some extra desert, we did it all. Grandma Tome always made me feel like such a princess when she came to visit, wanting to know every detail of what was going on in my life. The love she always had for her family truly showed in everything she did. I am lucky to have gained another wonderful person watching over me and will cherish all the memories we had together.
