Tommy's obituary

Tomasz Grochowski passed away on December 28, 2025, leaving behind a life rich in laughter, creativity, and love.

Tomasz was a man of deep intelligence and joyful spirit. A lover of poetry and music, he possessed a quick wit and a wonderfully playful sense of humor that brought light to those around him. He found meaning in words, joy in laughter, and beauty in music, and he generously shared those gifts and experiences with others.

For over thirty years, Tomasz was employed at Cromwell Growers, where he began working in 1991 and remained until his passing, serving as Shipping Manager. He took great pride in his work and found daily happiness in being surrounded by flowers. His love of flowers extended beyond his career into a lifelong passion for gardening, which brought him peace, creativity, and a deep connection to nature.

Tomasz also had a deep love for animals and shared his life with many cherished pets over the years, particularly dogs and cats. His home was often filled with the warmth, companionship, and joyful energy that only animals can bring.

He is survived by his son, Brian Grochowski, and his wife, Katherine; his daughters, Anna and Abigail Grochowski; his former wives, Iwona Grochowska and Jeanine Palmieri, and his brother Adam Grochowski and his niece, Emilia Grochowska and his sister Irena Siwicka.

Tomasz will be remembered for his kindness, humor, creativity, and the genuine warmth he brought into the lives of others. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A Mass celebrating Tomasz’s life will be held at St. Paul’s Church on January 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a burial service at Maple Cemetery in Berlin, Connecticut.
