Met Tom at Curlew Lake. Tom was friendly and outgoing. Loved sharing stories, laughing and had a smile that would light up a room. Tom was always will to help and share knowledge. Easy to talk with. The World and people are better because he walked the earth. RIP my friend. I will miss our talks.
Tom was a very special man. A driving force in the Class of 78. He was always friendly and a pleasure to talk to and share life experiences with. He was eager to talk about his cars and he had some of the coolest. He frequently asked about my brother Denny Lawrence when he had his accident in High School. It is with a heavy heart that I offer my condolences and deepest sympathy to Cathy and the family.
My heart goes out to Cathy and family. Tom was a benevolent leader. He was giving and kind. He valued people and life. He will be missed.

Tom was one of the nicest most genuine guys in our class at Aberdeen High School and Hopkins Jr High. God Bless you Tom Jackson!
In response to "What did you learn from Tom?"
I was so sorry to hear about Tom's passing my thoughts and prayers are with you, Cathy and your entire family!

Losing Tommy feels like losing a brother. After all, our neighborhood was one big family! The memories we shared span over 60 years—from playing in sandboxes and climbing trees to pelting each other with rotten apples and learning to water-ski on Lost Lake. Oh, I might add, Tommy was also an expert at tossing unsuspecting girls off the dock into the water. AND, he never could say our last name correctly pronouncing it "Ear Ache" instead of "Erak." 😂

Our families were there for each other through it all, and even though time and distance may have kept us apart, our bond never wavered. We always knew that if any of us needed anything, we could count on Tommy—and that generosity extended to his entire family.

I speak for all the Erak family when I say that the Jacksons were a legend in the neighborhood. We coined their home affectionately as the “Kool-Aid house,” where everyone was welcome, no questions asked. Tommy was a good man, and he will be deeply missed by all of us who knew and loved him. ❤️
